BIPOC Hike @ Wahclella Falls

  • Wahclella Falls Trail Cascade Locks, OR, 97014 United States (map)

If there was an award for cutest waterfall hike in the gorge, this one would win, baby! Let’s get grounded, a little dirty, and likely wet as we trek as a group. You can expect to experience a lush moss wonderland, cool mist, and some muddy and rocky terrain. After a group introduction and grounding exercise, we will hike this out and back hike totaling 2.4 miles at a pace that promotes peace, ease, and time to be present. This hike is rated as “easy” but know your limits. There will be approximately 300 feet of gradual elevation gain, with some steep sections. Wear hiking boots or athletic shoes with good ankle support. Dress for the weather, bring snacks, water, and whatever you need to be comfortable on the trail.

Parking at the trailhead is limited and requires a $5 pass (paid via app), a NW Forest Pass, or America the Beautiful Pass.

If no parking at trailhead is available, there is free parking at nearby Bonneville Fish Hatchery, a .3 mile walk from the Wahclella Falls parking lot and trail head.

Plan on meeting in the parking lot around 3:30 PM. We will begin our hike at 4 PM.
